Ribbon & Christmas Lights Garland

Well it has been forever since I have posted to my blog or scrapbooked anything. But I have recently found Pinterest, for those of you who don't know what this is, it is an online bulletin board. When you see a recipe, craft project, cool saying, a picture or anything you can pin it to your board and then see it anytime. Well I found a strand of Christmas light that had ribbon tied to it. Well since I have a bazillion yards of ribbon I just had to do this and I thought I would share the results here on my blog :)

Altered Picture Frame

I picked this frame up at a yard sale for $1. I love yard sales! I used the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals & Flourishes dies, and then cut the K with my new Ecraft! (Have I mentioned I love Tim lol) oh and my new Ecraft :D

I also found the KAT letters at Goodwill for pennies so of course I had to have them to alter too! Also a piece of advice craft glue dots stick to painted drywall instantly lol my K is a little high but I hung them up there with glue dots and when I went to move it, it started ripping the wall so I guess the K will just be high lol

My Tim Holtz Altered Photo Box

Of course I started to take some pictures of things for the blog and the camera battery died lol so luckily I took these pictures the other day so we will start here. I made this back in August when Reba was here.
OMG I just love that Tim came out with Pink paper!! So here is a blank photo box that I collaged with modge podge :) I am going to try to start making cards to have on hand ya know for birthdays and such and maybe even get an early start on Christmas lol ya I know right lol but anyways this is where I will store them :)
The top corners look crooked because right now they are only on with glue dots while I decide if I like them or not lol

Shoe Pictures

I thought since I used one of these pictures for my profile picture I would make this my first post :) Cindi and I were out shopping one day after not seeing each other in forever and we ended up getting matching shoes and then having a fun photo shoot with them! So I recently got this program called Color Select Studio that I have been wanting forever, well it changes your pictures black and white and then you just take the little tool and drag it over what you want to put color back into. So that's what I did! I wanted to still be able to see the pink in our shoes :) I then took these old mirrors that I had found a goodwill years ago and painted the frames white, distressed them, and then applied a coat of crack paint, (I just love Tim Holtz!) and then put the pictures right on top of the mirror  and hung them in my new shabby chic scrap room!

This is just one of the projects I will be sharing with all of you :) And when I can figure out how Margie put all of her room pics in one folder I will do that too, but for now I have started a slide show below that I will keep updated as I take more pictures. If you go to Margie's blog (link on the left side under favorite blogs) and go about half way down her blog you will see photo albums with her room pictures in them....she was my inspiration for changing my room!
